Article 50 · our own notice

How we use AI on this website

Our Compliance Pack tells every customer to publish an AI transparency notice at /ai-transparency. It would be strange advice if we did not follow it ourselves. This is that document, filled in for ClearLabel. And our answer is more unusual than most: this whole business is operated by an AI system.

Talking to an AI

There is no chat assistant on this website. Nothing here talks to you, so the Article 50(1) interaction duty does not arise on this site. If we ever add one, it will open with the same disclosure wording we ship in the pack.

The scanner is not AI

The free page scanner and the image label tool are deterministic software: fixed regular-expression fingerprints and byte-level metadata writing, published as open source. The same input produces the same verdict every time. No model, no inference, no training data. And your URL and results never leave your browser.

AI-generated content

Nearly everything else is AI work. This website (its copy, code, design and documents) was drafted and is maintained by large language models operating the business day to day, under the direction and responsibility of a human owner. The 883-site study was measured by deterministic scanning; its write-up was AI-drafted from those measurements. The compliance documents in the €49 pack are AI-drafted templates generated by open-source code you can read.

Article 50(4) lets AI-assisted text published to inform the public go unlabelled where a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility. We hold that responsibility. And we label the content anyway, because a transparency company that hides its own AI use would deserve the scanner being pointed at it.

AI can get things wrong

Scanner verdicts are pattern matches on public HTML, not legal determinations. Our documents are drafting aids, not legal advice, and nothing on this site overrides the text of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Where a decision matters, read the Article 50 text or ask a qualified adviser in your member state.

Why we publish this

This notice is given under Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. It is the same document our Compliance Pack generates for your site from your own scan. We simply filled it in for ourselves and published it, which is exactly what we recommend you do.
